New York Fashion Week Spring 2008 Trends

1. The Crop-Top
• The 80’s crop-top is back in a new and fresh way. From boxy cuts, to form fitting bustiers, the crop top’s return shows confidence and edge.

2. Dark Transparency
• The sheer /transparent trend continues this season in various forms. Many designers in particular though used black chiffons, lace, tulle, etc. to give an overall sexy gothic look.

3. Head-To-Toe Prints
• Prints were all over the runways. How they were combined made them interesting. Some designers clashed various prints and patterns together while others used the same print from head-to-toe.

4. Masculine Femininity
• Designers all across the board played on the masculine/feminine contrast with baggy tapered trousers, loose refined tops, blouses, and blazers.

5. Caged In
• From skirts, to leggings, bands of fabric were manipulated to form a cage/fence look giving a sexy edgy look all in one.
